Thunder in the Valley

On the third Saturday in July every year for the last 10 years tens of thousands of people have descend upon Blairmore, Alberta for the fireworks show of the year - Thunder in the Valley. The summer of 2006 is no exception as the show returns on July 15 at 11 p.m. Produced by the Blairmore Fire Department and set against Pass Powderkeg the show is spectacular.

The show has an intimate atmosphere as the audience can sit almost direct under the show at the Isabel Sellon School grounds or view it from almost any location in Blairmore. After the show be prepared for the traffic jam of the year but the show is worth it.

The 20-minute plus show is supported by donations and those wishing to donate can contact the Blairmore Fire Department or visit the official Thunder in the Valley website at www.thunderinthevalley.ca.
