A little known area to the west of Coleman is a cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and hiking trail system know as the Allison Creek / Chinook Lake Cross-Country Ski Area. With over 31 km of track-set trail in addition to numerous virgin powder areas Allison Wonderlands, as the local Cross-country Ski club calls it, is a cross-country skier's dream. With exceptional snow from December through March the area serves skiers from throughout the Pass, Lethbridge, Calgary and south-eastern British Columbia. During the summer months the trails serve mountain bikers and hikers with its exciting trails in its tranquil mountain setting. The club is looking to expand the area in future years and details will posted on their website.
