Start on the relatively flat but rough road that goes past the Ironstone Lookout turnoff. After passing the turnoff the trail begins its climb over a low pass and then gets tougher with a steeper climb into a lush sub-alpine zone below Mt. Coulthard and the trail’s best scenery. The challenge is next, with a steep climb up an old cutline onto a larch covered rolling ridge. Before you come off the ridge, check our brakes and descend the east side of the cutline to the headwaters of Lynx Creek. The rest of trip takes you out on a steadily improve road to the pick up point near Satoris Road. This trip can be extended by cycling the gravel roads going into the starting point and ending closer to Blairmore by cycling the Satoris Road.
