This
is a fairly easy ride into the waterfall along the Drywood Creek Well Access
Road. It only becomes tough when 100 km/h winds blow through the valley as they
did on the day we reviewed this trail. Once at the end of the road it is a short
walk to the waterfall signified by the black rock cropping seen directly in
front of you at the end of the road. On many trips we have spent at least half
an hour at the waterfall itself just taking in the incredible scenery. The
options beyond the waterfall are endless. The best option being to follow the
creek (hike) or the doubletrack (bike & hike) at the end of the road further
into this beautiful valley that lies amongst the Purcell outcroppings of
Victoria and Pincher Ridges. Following the valley to its top end one arrives at
the headwaters of Drywood Creek. Headwaters can be found both in the southeast
and west valley basins. It is about 4 km following the creek, from the end of
the road to the top end of the valley.
