Please beware that this trail crosses and is accessed via private land so please obey all the posted signs. The trail to Lille can either start out on the dirt road or you can begin at the Frank Slide Centre by following the short paved section of road (about 500m) down from the Centre to the dirt road. The path is more or less downhill on the way into Lille with a couple of uphill sections and four crossing of Gold and/or Morin Creek along the way.  Soon after crossing Morin Creek for the fourth creek crossing you arrive at the site where the once thriving coal town of Lille sat. You can recognize this site by the foundations of a old building off to the left and the scattering of old brick, metal and some fire hydrants in the flats. If you pass by Lille you will soon run into  a sign indicating the rest of the road is a private road. As of Spring '98 ATV bridges have been added at the last three creek crossings, watch for them. Crossing on all three bridges will add approximately 0.6 km to the total distance.
