2008 Bellevue Mine Interpreters
The Crowsnest Pass
Ecomuseum Trust Society is seeking six enthusiastic and creative underground
mine interpreters who enjoy delivering a variety of interactive and unique
programs with people of all ages at the Bellevue Underground Mine.
Responsibilities:
Candidates:
-
Dynamic individuals who
are enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated, and outgoing. Team work
is essential. We are only as strong as the presentation we are able
to achieve. We promote a cohesive work environment at all times.

Interested in coal mining
history, education, or theatre.
Proficient in oral and written communication.

Excellent organizational,
interpersonal, and time management skills.
Previous experience working with the public and in the areas of tourism,
interpretation, education, earth and life sciences is an advantage;
however, all applicants are welcome.

Students continuing
educational pursuits in the fall.

Must be comfortable giving
an "underground" tour to a maximum of 30 visitors. This is truly a
life-changing experience for every successful candidate. Our
opportunity creates the capability to speak in public while gaining
personal self-esteem, confidence, and positive respect through support
from fellow co-workers and management - exposing qualities you may not
have had a chance to comprehend.

Training in Crowsnest Pass
heritage, historical and technological interpretation will be provided.
Successful applicants will be required to submit a
standard first aid
certificate.
Employment period: April 28 - September
1, 2008
Job Location: Bellevue, Alberta.
Salary: $10.00 - $10.50/hour
commensurate with experience (30-37.5 hours/week)
