The Crowsnest Pass is located in Alberta's southwest Corner at the
foot of the Canadian Rockies. Two and half hours southwest of Calgary,
Alberta the Crowsnest Pass is home to a spectacular mountain playground
for a variety of outdoor activities during both the summer and winter
months. The Crowsnest Pass is just a few kilometres west of areas in which
the movie Broke Back Mountain was filmed and is home to some of the
spectacular mountain backdrops in the movie.
The Crowsnest Pass acts as a central hub to a
number of points of interest including UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Waterton Lakes / Glacier
International Peace Park, and Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump and other sites
and centres like the Frank Slide
Centre, The Remington Carriage Museum, Fort McLeod, Fort Steele, Fernie,
and Castle Mountain Resort.
